*Regularly experience slow performance when playing games.
*Have a lot of applications installed on their device
*Are using an older device.

  What Boost Does
Within a device, there are multiple processes constantly running and each one uses memory. Even when a game is being displayed on the devices screen, there are times when processes unrelated to the game are running in the background. These unnecessary processes use the devices memory.

Game Boost Master forces applications that are not related to a boosted game to shut down. This excludes processes necessary to run the device's system. By ending unnecessary processes, device memory becomes available and the amount of memory games can use increases. This results in games running more smoothly.

Furthermore, processes that run in the background don't only use memory but they also use your network, and access your storage. Games also use your device's network and storage, so if those background processes are terminated, your device's resources for gaming will be increased.

-A variety of apps not game related

Boost Timing

Game Boost Master Boot Up

- Turn On or Off the timing of Game Boost Master, which initiates Boosts
- Conduct Boost when Game Boost Master is initiated.

Game Boot Up

- Conduct a Boost when an app in My Games is booted.

Boost Frequency

Initiation Regularity

- Turns on for Boosts to automatically and regularly be conducted after a game is booted.
- Regular initiation and intervals change depending on the used device. Initiates roughly every minute.
- Will not initiate if memory usage is low. Will automatically initiate when memory usages reaches a high %.

Threshold

- Boost will be conducted only after memory usage passes this threshold.
- Threshold can only be used with Boost Frequency. When a game is booted or the Boost icon is taped, Boost will constantly be performed.

Priority

- Set the processing priority for when Boost is performed.
- Setting priority to High will prioritize processing for Boost over other background apps. This increases Boost speeds. This greatly increases the chance of a temporary game freeze when compared to priority level Medium.
- Setting the priority to Low will prioritize other background process over Boost. Boost will be conducted without hindering the booted game.

Other

Status Bar Notice

- Set notice to On or Off.
- Gives notices in the status bar for the status of regularity conducted Boosts.

Exception List

- Set exceptions for background processes that would be ended via Boost.
- Register applications you don't want to terminate when Boost activates.

Prioritize Performance

Set Performance Prioritization On or Off.
When set to On, Game Boost Master animations and icons will be simplified. Game Boost Master's memory, CPU, and network usage will be surprised. This may increase performance on one's device.

Troubled

Don't notice a difference with Boost?
For users who don't notice a difference with Game Boost Master's Boost effect, here are a few possible causes and measures.

About Boost effects and functions

Boost ends background processes (processes that are running behind the game) that are not related to the target game, excluding system stability processes.

What Boost can't do

No change or alterations are made to the target game on the device. Thus, the burden on battery, network, cpu, and memory for a target game cannot be reduced.

When boost won't activate

In the case where a game's resource consumption is extremely high and surpasses the allowed amount of available resources, your device may slow down. Game Boost Master does not alleviate resource consumption of a game itself. As a result, boost effects cannot be anticipated.

An online game that regularly interacts with a network will greatly be influenced by the network connection. Playing a game on a 3G connection or somewhere with poor service, or if a game is downloading a large file, boost effects cannot be anticipated.

Reactivation of an application ended by Boost.

Game Boost Masters biggest aim is to improve gameplay by ending processes outside of a game.

After playing a game, you must reboot applications closed by Game Boost Master. Rebooting applications takes time so it may feel like your device has become slower because of the boost effect. The home (launcher) app, which is frequently used, may be largely effected. By adding applications to the list of exceptions on the setting screen, the above situation can be improved.

Operation improvements outside of Game Boost Master

To play games more enjoyably, and increase the speed of your device, a few countermeasures outside of Game Boost Master will be introduced.

By uninstalling applications you don't frequently use, processes running in the background can be reduced, memory is cleared, and resources for games to use can be increased.

Clear up the home (launcher) app

Used memory can be reduced by decreasing shortcuts, folders, and widgets on your home screen.

Restarting your Device

By running your device for long consecutive periods of time, unnecessary processes and lost memory builds up. Resetting your device resets the memory, and currently running processes.

Reduce running background applications.

*Increase acquirable game memory by turning off processes that the game doesn't use.

*Before playing a game turn off Bluetooth or area information.

*Application notices also use resources. They can also disrupt gameplay. You may see improvements by turning off unnecessary notices.

Use game settings to alter performance.

You can reduce the amount of used game resources if the game you are playing has graphic settings.

When using Game Boost Master, device functions (music, Bluetooth, etc.) will stop.
When boosting, you may experience your music manager shutting down or Bluetooth turning off.

Cause

Processes necessary for music playback or Bluetooth are shut down via Game Boost Master. Game Boost Master does not automatically end processes that are necessary for system stability. However, processes necessary for each device vary based on firmware, type of device and OS, so not all necessary processes can be excluded.

Counter Measure

Please register apps you consider to be necessary via the exception list in Game Boost Master's settings. For music add music or audio, or add Bluetooth for Bluetooth. Search network for network related results and you may be able to find apps that you can register to your exception list.

Counter Measure

You can manually add the game to My Games by selecting it from Edit in My Games.

Learn about the exception list screen here

An app that should be in the exception list or Edit My Games is not there.
There may be instances when an application that was installed could not be found in the exception list or Edit My Games screen.

Cause

Depending on your devices environment, there may be a delay in display after installation. Additionally, applications that are installed on an SD card may not all be displayed right after restarting your device.

Counter Measure

Swipe Down to refresh the list. Please try after waiting a few moments after installing a new app. It takes time for data to be recognized.
